1. To affect, guide, or arouse by divine influence.
A few weeks ago, I was at a moms group. There was a table full of women, some I knew previously and some I had just met that day. We began sharing how we had each felt the love of God in our lives. Then there was a question of "When in your life have you felt like God was not showing you his love". Instantly I became flooded with all kinds of emotions from our infertility struggle. I was trying to process how I could put into words how I felt during our struggle. One woman, spoke up and shared in a brutally honest way, and said that she is kind of at a place right now where she was questioning things. She shared how she and her husband had to take a tough road to get their beautiful baby girls. *BAM* A divine connection...already! Yep..that quick. I began to share how I completely understood what she was talking about! I shared a condensed version of how we received our son and how...to put it bluntly for the women sitting at our table...it sucked...it was hard..and it hurt A LOT! Her comment back to me was "We need to be friends". :) She felt that same connection as well. Now...call it coincidence...or call it GOD! I am a firm believer that GOD deserves the entire glory for this interaction! Me and my new friend Beth have spent some time together sharing stories and really just..inspiring..each other. Another GOD thing! I truly believe that God puts people in your life for a reason and at an exact time for an exact purpose. In this situation, his "divine influence" brought a new friend into my life!
Another inspiration..

I posted this link on Facebook, but I know that not every one has an account.
This is a beautiful inspiring story of a friend of mine. Staci, the surrogate, has been a beautiful influence on me since I was in college. When I was as sophomore, our church set up babysitting for families in the church. We were set up with a family to babysit once a week so that the couple could have a date night. I was matched with the Mason's. Bryon and Staci had Ty and Trey when I first started babysitting for them. The boys were probably 3 and nearly 2. Brynna was born a year or so later. I babysat for this family every week for about 3 years. One summer, I lived with them and was their nanny for all three kids. This experience prepared me for motherhood more then I can even describe! So this family has a very special place in my heart! Staci has written a Bible study..that our youth group girls have been through..and LOVED! Staci has been a guest speaker at a few conferences that we have been to and she lead a Girls Purity Conference in our area last spring. She is just a beautiful example for young women to be..inspired by! This selfless, gift of surrogacy that Staci showed is just another testament of how God works through the hearts of his people. I KNOW..and pray.. that Staci's story will inspire others who have endured the path of infertility.
