February Fun

I know I talked about this in a January post but I want to reinterate just how MILD this winter has been!!! This weather has made it very easy to just pick up and go places. So when my sister invited us to come and play at an indoor playplace near their home we jumped on the oppurtunity. My sister talked about this place before and I always thought that this place would be great for a day when we would be experiencing some cabin fever. Even though we haven't experienced that cabin fever at all this season we decided to check it out anyways and this is what we did!!

What a fun place!! I think C was a bit overwhelemed by the space and the things to do. He took full advantage of being able to roam with little to no redirection from his mama! Next year, I forsee C and his cousin M spending hours here burning off all of their BOY energy!! What a blast! Thanks Aunt Lisa, Mally and Madden for letting us come along to play!

After some lunch and a very quick nap we went back to my sister's house. As I mentioned it was extremely mild this day (50 degrees) so the kids decided to get out all of their yard toys. Wheels...Wheels...and more Wheels!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

We will reflect on February 2012 some day and think "did that really happen?".
A season of no shoveling snow, no school delays/cancelations, no snowmen in the yard, no sledding, no snowdrifts, no icy roads, no below zero windchill advisories, no power outages, and minimal stove fires. Yep, it sure did. This blog post can prove it. :)

We wont mention that there is about 2 inches of fresh fallen snow in the yard as I post this tonight or that there could be a possibility of a school delay tomorrow. I guess all I had to do was write about how we haven't seen any of that this season and WAALAA...!! Oh well, the forecast is calling for near 50 degrees on Sunday so the snow will not be sticking around very long, I'm sure.
