Valentine's Day

Over the weekend, C and I worked hard to get some Valentine's made for some very special people in our lives.
Here is the valentine card that he made to send to family that doesn't live close to us. I would have loved to have made more but his limit was about 5 cards then he was..uh..lets just say..DONE! :)
From Collages

This is proof that he did do them himself. I didn't think to take a picture until we were nearly done but this does show a little bit of the process. He had so much fun. He kept saying "peeent" "peeeent" then it turned into saying "bath" "bath". By the looks of the pictures you can see that a bath was in order after this project. So fun!!!

Here is another Valentine's day project. Crunchy Candy Caramel Corn.

This caramel corn turned out to be delicious however I had an epic FAIL happen when decided to bag it up with a few sugar cookies. :( The moisture from the cookies made the caramel corn soggy. We hand delivered these to several people and I didn't realize it was soggy until today when I tasted the only bag that was left! I could have CRIED!!! A proud moment of making a new recipe+working hard to bag them up so nicely+hand deliver them to people ENDED in a FAIL. Oh well, you LIVE and you LEARN..right?!

Here is the 3rd and final Valentine's day project.

If you haven't been to the website Pinterest, you should really check it out. This site is filled with all kinds of inspirations from recipes to crafts to home decor ideas. I saw someone had pinned a picture of a LOVE sign that they made from some scrap pieces of wood. A week or so ago we were visiting Pete's mom and dad. We were admiring his dad's newly renovated building when I spotted 4 pieces of wood that were identical in shape and size. I snatched them up and asked if I could keep them. Of course they were scrap pieces and would eventually be fire kindling so they didn't mind me taking them. I had to do a little shopping to make my LOVE sign happen so I traveled to a craft store to buy a few supplies. All said and done I was able to make my sign for $4.60!

LOVE is patient,
LOVE is kind.
LOVE does not envy,
LOVE does not boast.
LOVE is not rude
LOVE is not self-seeking.
LOVE is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrong.
LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
LOVE always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserves.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
