The 1st day of SPRING just happened to fall on a day when "the cousins" were visiting! So I thought it would be a fun activity to do some "qwafs" (is what my nephew used to call crafts when he was 3 :) and a little cookie baking.
I don't make sugar cookies very often because I lose my patience by the time comes to frost them! So that is when GRANNY came to the rescue!! She is really good at this part, so I LET her do it!

C thought that it was a "pimic" where he could eat all the cookies in front of him...and he tried!
She was concentrating and did a super job frosting the cookies!
"I eat it granny? I eat it?" Notice how this shaking is being "controlled"!
DYING EGGS!
We were sitting at dinner one night talking about some spring activities we could do as a family. I talked about BLOWING eggs and then coloring them. My husband looks at me sideways and says "BLOWING eggs????"....what does that mean.
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you kidding me right now??!
Who has not heard of "BLOWING OUT AN EGG?"
So sure enough....we had to try it!
The toddler's 1st attempt=success!
Then we got to color the eggs!! Which is my favorite part.
When I was in the classroom, this was the ONLY way I would color eggs with my kindergartners!
It was CLEAN, it was EASY and they turned out so VIBRANT!!
When you pick 2 different colors it made some really beautiful eggs!
Easter Egg Hunt!!
Family pic while hunting for more eggs! It was freezing cold this day, also!
Cael (2 1/2) (COUSINS) Madden (20months) Mallory (5) Mason (8)
Of course while we were looking for eggs, he had to use the slide.
Easter is so much more then colored eggs, egg hunts, Easter baskets and chocolate bunnies. This holiday signifies all that Jesus Christ did for us on Calvary.
I know that I have lots of shortcomings and wrong doings.
Jesus did not. He was perfect. He was blameless. He is the Son of God that was sent to die to take the punishment of SIN for YOU and ME!
Romans 5:8
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
New International Version (NIV)
He choose to be the bloodshed that you and I need to cover all of our sins!
"What can wash away our sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus".
He paid it all!
But it doesn't end there, three days later...he ROSE again! He is seated upon the throne at the right hand of God.
Death could not hold him down...he arose.
Death could not hold him down...he arose.
And since I've accepted the gift of life he offers to all who believe and trust in him, I TOO can raise again some day and be with him in heaven!
Do you know JESUS? He knows you. He loves you and wants to come into your heart and give you LIFE....life more abundantly.
If you have trusted Jesus with your life, I hope that as we went through Easter and you saw what he did for US as sinful people.
Peace comes when you believe and trust in him.
Because he LIVES I can face tomorrow,
Because he LIVES all fear is gone.
Because I know, oh, oh, he holds the future
LIFE is worth the living just because he LIVES!
Seek and trust HIM (Jesus Christ) today!
Happy Easter!
