Guarded

First of all, I want to apologize for not updating this sooner. I do have to admit that I have been quite guarded. Everything is still a bit surreal. When you have been down a road of much pain and heartache, you naturally respond hesitantly. This is just another one of those circumstances.

Since the last time we posted, we have had a 6 week ultrasound. Yeah, 6 weeks..crazy, I know! The embryo was the size of a poppyseed. We were able to see and hear it's little heartbeat!! Amazing, absolutely amazing! How could you not believe in the Divine Creator when you see something so intricately designed!

I am currently starting my 8th week and I have been feeling fine. I've been having lots of common pregnancy symptoms but nothing to really complain about. Just enough to remind me of my current state. Whenever I get a wave of nausea, a headache, or loss of appetite, I usually just follow that up in my mind with "Thank you God!" :)

This Thursday, we go back down to have an 8 week ultrasound. This will be the last appointment with the specialist. I will then be on my way to the general OBGYN clinic.

We are still waiting for the appropriate time to make a public announcement to co-workers, friends and church family. Thanks for all the kind messages and concerns. I will post more frequently (maybe not daily, Mindy) but will try and update as things progress. Please keep praying!!!!
