Sharing the News

This is an ultrasound pic that we had at a 10 week appointment. I was meeting with a specialist and we were not anticpating an ultrasound so this was a pleasant suprise. This was so cool because we got to see the baby moving!! Wow..wish I could have had that on video. Amazing that this little one is inside of me!!!

Week 11
As you can read from the ticker tape at the top of the blog. Thanks Lacie for sharing (or I guess I copied) the idea!!! :)

Overall, Im feeling pretty good. I really can't complain much. I am having the typical nausea at night. Supper is such a chore! Nothing sounds good and I really can't even look at most food after 5pm! A week and a half ago, I had the 24 hr flu, and last Monday-Thursday had terrible congestion, and then had a horrible headache on Monday night; all of which I have dealt with before but seemed way more intensive this time!! :) So trying to praise God for what he is doing in my body in spite of the discomfort I've been experiencing. So honestly, I try not to complain much...I know it is all for a good cause. :)

We decided a week ago to share the news with our youth group kids. We knew that this past Sunday, we were going to tell our church the news, but we wanted to be the ones to tell the kids. Pete and I spent supper that night trying to figure out a creative way to share the news. Our weekly Wednesday night Bible study has been split where Pete teaches the boys and I have the girls. Pete wanted to share the news as a full group but I wanted to be the one to share with the girls. So we decided to slide this in during "prayer request". I let the girls share and then I proceeded to say, with a straight face, I would really like to ask you girls for prayer...I've been..uh.....(long dramatic pause with a straight face and a concerned look in my face :)....uh...well "We're going to have a baby". :) They were silent for about 2 seconds with a look of shock on their faces!! "Are you serious".."You are kidding".."REALLY?"..."No way!!". Then it was followed by a little bit of screaming and lots of SMILES!!!! HOWEVER...I told them...you can't share with with your moms!!! We want to tell them all on Sunday at church. I threatened to wipe their name off the babysitting list if they shared the news too early!! Well, I think that threat worked, because all of them kept the secret. We were able to tell the church on Sunday without some parents knowing. We pulled it off! :)

Week 12 is around the corner which means that the first trimester is nearly over. I have had to continue getting a very large shot (3 inches long) in my rear of progesterone oil every night since the beginning of February. SO I will be so HAPPY when that is over because my rear is so sore! Relief is in sight!!!
