Have I mentioned that Cael's head is constantly "on a swivel"? You will notice that there are hardly any pictures where he will look at the camera, because there is just too many other things to look at besides MOM! :)
We decided to have a Mickey Mouse themed birthday. Since Cael was about 6 months old, he has really taken a liking to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show on Disney. At the beginning of each episode, Mickey makes an appearance. When this happens, Cael would (and still does) get a huge smile on his face! We thought the Mickey Mouse theme would be a great way to sum up his first year.

We had such a super day today. There was a moment when we were singing happy birthday that I started getting a little teary eyed. I started thinking through how how much I love this little boy and how I have desired a moment like this for a long time. Our family gathered around his little chair and his eyes lit up as he watched the "haaaaa" (hot) candle flicker and my heart filled with JOY. We were singing to a very special little man...a little boy that has been graciously given to..US! Thank you Lord Jesus for the last 12 months! We are so excited to see what the next 12 months has in store!
